Happy Friday everyone!
How are you all doing? It’s been a while since we last blogged, life sometimes gets a little too much. I have decided to take a break and will be going on holiday tomorrow! Destination – Marrakech, Morocco! I have been to Africa a few times, but never up north. I am very excited to immerse myself in Morrocan culture, explore Medina, try my hand at bargaining at the souks and taste their cuisine.
Morocco is a traditional Muslim country. Even though Marrakech is very touristy, when travelling I am always very aware of respecting cultures, so for this holiday I will have my shoulders, chest and knees covered.
I am also looking to do quite a bit of shopping. I want to bring back souvenirs for friends and family as well as a few pieces for my home, so it is absolutely vital I travel light! Here are 5 outfits I have planned for my trip:
Travelling in comfort is essential! These harem H&M trousers in loose fit are very soft and comfy, plus my favorite Accessorize bag is big enough for all my in-flight accessories. Top from ASOS; Flip flops also from ASOS.
It will be very hot in Morocco, but silk animal print trousers from Zara will keep me nice and cool. This long-line light knit cardigan from H&M will be perfect for covering up when exploring souks.
Zara wise leg trousers in leaf print add a touch of exotic glamour. Accessorize stole with all over diamante is very light and comfortable way to keep shoulders and chest covered. Bag from Aldo.
Maxi satin skirt from H&M will be my savior from blaring heat.
I bought this H&M midi dress on sale, you can still get it here.
Have a lovely week everyone!

Embellished dresses are perfect for the Christmas season; you probably will have noticed more of them popping up in shops. I have quite a few embellished pieces in my wardrobe, and the number of them is growing steadily. I love a little glitz and glamour, and embellished garments really do make me feel girly.
Today, I want to share one of my pieces with you. I have so many to chose from, but after much deliberation I’ve chosen…
I wore this dress for my birthday. As there’s a lot going on in the dress, I thought it was best to keep my accessories to a minimum. You might also remember my outfit from this years LFW, where I wore an embellished skirt.
Here are a couple of other cute embellished dresses that have caught my eye. I’m loving the glitz and glamour!

Most girls I know are pretty scared of sporting oversized items and I don’t exactly find this shocking. So I’m pretty sure that like me you’re feeling a little thankfully for the rise of the oversize this fall.

If I had to chose three words that best illustrated what ‘oversized fashion’ is all about, I’d chose big, bold and bossy. To help maintain that trendy look this fall, I really do suggest that this is the one trend you don’t ignore! For one, it’s really comfortable, looks fierce and, bonus,it’ll keep you warm. We’re not just talking about clothes here to; ‘oversize’ is taking over scarfs, jewellry and bags too.
Choosing the right items to pair your oversize garments will help accentuate your look. A word of advice; always think opposite. Oversize trousers & fitted top. Oversized top & either a pencil skirt or tailored trousers (ankle trousers too!). You get the idea. Remember, what you want to do is compliment the other section. Now go on, try something new today.
Items, from left to right,
Mohair Oversized Wool Jumper – Mango; Anna Dello Russo Bracelet – H&M; Contrast Sleeves Masculine Coat – Mango; Anna Dello Russo Earrings – H&M; Palazzo Pants – Ministry of Retail; D-Frame Acetate Sunglasses -Michael Kors; Oversized Clutch With Bow – Miss Selfridge; Women’s Tulle Skirt – Rundholz; Tall Oversized Blossom Tee – Topshop; Oversized Spot Tights – Pamela Mann; Blue Oversized Shirt – MiH; Anna Dello Russo Leather Boot – H&M; Sparkle Jewel Long Pendant – Accessorize; Montpellier – Kurt Geiger
A statement clutch can either make or break your outfit. As a lover of streamlined btw ensembles , I always look for accessaries that can stand on their own. These Matthew Williamson embellished suede clutches (£995, from Net-a-Porter) are exquisite! On-trend neon instantly updates lavish looking brocade and with two colours to choose from, you cannot go wrong about updating your look.
Anyone who knows me will be able to tell you that I’m totally ‘watch crazy.’ From silver to gold, leopard print, black and even rose-coloured leather straps; you name the style, I can guarantee that I’ve either had it or a worthy alternative.
But I’ve had my eye on these Michael Kors treasures for a while now and I’m having a pretty hard time deciding which one should be my next investment. Fancy feeding my addiction by helping me chose? All comments are welcome – which one do you think should be my next purchase?

Everywhere I go, I’m seeing shoppers lugging around huge totes. And not just any colour – toffee is the colour of this season. As this seasons must-have accessory, shoppers everywhere are sporting one. Think about it, I’ll be surprised if you haven’t seen a handful of stylist ladies around sporting a ‘Toffee Tanned Tote.’
Will these ‘Toffee Tanned Totes’ become fashions next staple? That, I don’t know. What I do know however is that right now they are in and they are hot! Carrying bundles of shopping has never been so chic. Make sure you grab yours today!

‘Diamonds are a girls best friend’ – how right they are!
The Eastern world has always showed their love for bling in the right way and can teach us a trick or two when it comes footwear. From J Lo to Heidi Klum, the red carpet is always glistening with heavenly creations by Christian Louboutin and Manolo Blahnik, but a pocket friendly alternative can be found at a little treasure chest called Unze.
From the moment you walk into an Unze shoe store, you are quite literally blinded by sparkling Swarovski and rhinestone encrusted shoes. With Bollywood music playing in the background you’ll find yourself imagining yourself breaking into song and dance at the starting point of ‘shoes, glorious shoes….’
From flats to 9 inch heels they stock every style in all colours of the rainbow, so colour matching is never an issue. And if they haven’t got your size in stock there is no need to shed a tear – these lovely people will post it to you as soon as the following day. So, all you need to do is get the pedicure sorted; these guys definitely have the shoes covered.
Imagine this; you’re sitting on a flight, homebound from an amazing trip to the US, slightly gloomy about the fact that you’re leaving your party-animal friends are out there. That’s not a nice situation to be in right? Right. Well that was me, last week, and boy oh boy did I not want to leave. I had just enjoyed one of the best holidays of my existence!
So, searching for a little pick-me-up, I purchased Vogue Magazines 120 year anniversary September issue in duty-free. Louis, Chanel, Dior, Lanvin; all such stunning and artistic adverts. But my heart stopped when I saw this:
And just like that, Burberry Prorsum got me all excited about the new range of fashion hitting stores right now. There is nothing that I love than shopping in Autumn; it is by far my favourite time to shop til I drop. All because you find key, distinctive pieces like these: Burberry Prorsum’s Country Animal Studded Clutch & Studded Leather Gloves, made with the finest of leather and dazzling gold studs. With even an uber cute gold duck getting involved here, what is not to love? And as both of these fine garments made me go a little more than ‘Ooh’ on that dreaded flight of mine, I’m featuring them together. Be sure to check out the rest of Burberry Prorsums A/W 2012 range here.
Three things that I love to do when I travel is to check out local culture, music and fashion. As someone who loves to have a few exclusives in my wardrobe, holiday shopping is a total must. Indulging and seeking out local brands, especially boutiques, is a great way to ensure your wardrobe remains unique and cutting edge.
So, about three weeks ago when I made a flying visit to Chicago, it was a total breath of fresh air when I came across Henri Bendel. The Bendel boutique has been around since 1875, so to you this may be old news, but to me it was news. With a range that includes a selection of fine handbags and jewellery, the Bendel brand is definitely the ‘beacon of luxury’ it aims to be.
Below is a selection of my favourite ‘Stacked’ up Bendel rings, made with the finest of Swarovski crystals and available in gold, rose gold and silver. We all need a statement ring or two to either vamp up or complete any outfit. These Bendel beauties guarantee to do just that!
1. Deluxe Hand Me Down Stack Ring, $118
2. The Pixie Hand Me Down Stack Ring, $98
3. Fake It Stack Ring, $68
4. Petite Hand Me Down Stack Ring, $98
5. Hand Me Down Stack Ring, $98
Miroslava Duma, ex editor for Russian Harper’s Bazaar and now a freelance writer for a number of fashion publications is definitely the leader of the Russian Fashion Pack! Best friends with Ulyana Sergeenko, designer that we wrote about here, she is never afraid to try different looks combigning her favourite designers Miu Miu, YSL, Lanvin and Prada. Miroslava has been photographed by Scott Schuman for The Sartorialist and Garance Dore, and has quickly become internationally known fashion face to watch! I really admire her style and the way she wears jackets and coats as an armour. Ms Duma pairs cute prints with mini skirts and tights, never without a chunky sandal, she looks too adorable!
Year 2013 will be THE year of wedding for me, all of my best friends have ‘put the ring on it’ which leaves me with a lot of shopping to do. With a few ideas of appropriate colours to compliments those brides, I have started scanning boutiques. This intricate and beautifully crafted dress from Reiss ticks all of the boxes. Flirty nude inserts, red flower embroidery and a flared fit is perfect, whether to look good in photographs or to take it over to the dance floor. I cant wait to pop over to the store and try it on!
Reiss ‘Dawn’ mesh and technique bodice dress in lava red, £189.
This week our ‘Spot On’ look is by gorgeous Tina Von Teese. Dita wore a stunning one-shoulder emerald gown to the Tependris Rising film presentation party in New York. I am desperately searching internet to find out whom it’s by. Will fill you in as soon as I have the details.

Westfield Store (photo by The Coup)
I get so excited when I get introduced to a new label! That’s exactly what happened when I wondered into a new Kate Spade New York store in Westfield (White City) shopping centre. This boutique is lovely, ambient and all of the products were presented with great style and composition. I must have spent good 20 minutes walking through the shop, constantly stopping, looking and touching every item. From clothes to jewellery, to bags and shoes, you see the trademark Kate Spade’s design being carried through.
It all started in 1993, when Kate Brosnahan Spade set out to design the perfect bag. She created only 6 silhouettes, playing with sleek colour palettes and textures. Everyone fell for that fresh take on the everyday accessory and from then on Kate Spade New York with its graphic approach and trademark became a visually recognisable brand all over the world.
In 2012 you see this brand carry it’s colourful design through handbags and clothing, jewellery, shoes, stationery, eyewear, baby, fragrance, tabletop, bedding and gifts.
At the average price of £200 for a designer bag – it is very good value. You can see one of them being featured in your ‘Work It’ bag post here. Cannot wait to pop in there for another look next time I am in Westfield! http://www.katespade.com
‘Damaris’ was launched in 2001 by Damaris Evans, who started the business from her kitchen table with a small loan. The deigner saw the gap in the lingerie market during that time, and created a high fashion and avant-garde designs using natural fabrics. The line is cheeky, seductive without being overly sexual. Pieces were snapped up by stores such as Selfridges and Le Bonne Marche in Paris, and sold at a retail price ranging from £125-£3,000 per piece.
“Queen of lingerie, and bottom cleavage”- Tatler
To my and many other ladies delight, in 2003 Damaris has finally created a diffusion line ‘Mimi Holliday‘. Mainline inspired pieces at a much more affordable price – are an absolute hit! The designs which work all types of figures, come in real silk, satin and French silk chiffon and are produced in the Far East. What attracts me to this collection is the use of bold colours. These fun candy shades, make you feel so special and brighten up any day! Great for your every day underwear or a special occasion. I really haven’t seen any other undies quite as special as this, I am sure anyone can find pieces that they love!
