A pair of fresh, all white Nike Air Max 90s. My 2015 summer staple.
How are you guys doing? I hope you had a weekend full of goodness. It was a quiet one for me up until yesterday when me and a bunch of friends checked out Winterville in East London – the cool alternative to Central London’s Winter Wonderland. If you’re thinking of heading down there I suggest you do. The rides and mulled wine left me feeling not short of happy. To protect myself from the cold, I layered up and wore these felt skaters which have become somewhat a guilty pleasure of mine. I bought them about six weeks ago, the same day that I bought these python platforms, although Elena wanted them first. Vowing to check in before wearing them to meet up, we both bought a pair. I’ve lived in them ever since or, I’ll admit, since breaking them in. They were painful at first but fine now. I’ll pair them up for you soon :)

For me, autumn is a time to tone down colours and work with subtleties. This reflects in my choice of daily make up where I’ve swapped my rosy palettes for bronzers, highlighters and strobe creams. Touches of glitter still add a hint of ‘girl’ to my look. My current three make up obsessions are this MAC bronzer and Strobe Cream in addition to Benefit’s Sun Beam. The trick with the strobe cream is to work it into your foundation before applying it to your skin. I like doing this on the back of my hand. Adding body warmth improves the consistency which, in turn, helps ensure that the highlighter is worked into your make up rather than looking as though it’s been plastered on top. Used sporadically, these three products add a soft, dewy glow to my skin tone; perfect for those in need of being sun kissed.
Bronzer – MAC (old, unfortunately)
What d’ya think of my new trainers? I actually bought these a few weeks ago but you’ve been seeing so much footwear from me (especially trainers, which have become a bit of a guilty pleasure for me) that I thought I’d give you a break. Considerate, that’s me! Lol. Anyways, how fresh are these?! I frigging love them. When I bought them, I was on my way to meet some old friends for dinner. When I looked into the shop display as I walked past Office in central London, these beauts were just sat there casually, smiling at me, waiting someone to show them a little love. I tried to ignore them and carry on walking but when I got a little further down the road I just had to turn around. I tried them on and they just hugged my feet and stuck to them, a little like glue would. Funnily enough when I got to the restaurant about 20 minutes later with my new purchase, I found out that all 5 of my friends were running late. Divine intervention perhaps?! :) I’m looking forward to summer just so I can wear these all.damn.day. Woop!
Have a good day peeps!
The other day, for an afternoon amble with El in Hampstead, I swapped my staple look of a skirt and pumps for a pair of worn converse and tattered, although new pair of skinnies. Wearing a knit that was two sizes up helped add to that extra slouchy look. Dress down days – gotta love ’em. They get two thumbs up from me.
We took a stroll, did a little bit of shopping and then had a sensible afternoon coffee. In one of the shops (Whistles I think), I saw this gorgeous necklace with an inscription that caught my eye…
“He who holds the key can unlock my heart.”
How quaint; how cute.
Although I can’t exactly say the same for my chucks… oops! Err, I think I need to invest in a new pair sometime soon.
Hope you beauts have a lovely day
So, these are the new trainers that everyone seems to be caving into. It’s funny because they aren’t actually new. No, not at all: they were actually all the rage when I was in secondary school, a whole 10 years ago…! But then, as always, the trend disappeared and like clockwise came around again.
They are a little usual in the sense that they aren’t the ‘cutest’ pair of trainers. But hey, what is ‘cute’? And comfort-wise, my oh my! I love them; they’re my new go-to pair when I’m on the run. They are quirky, unusual and admittedly, I do enjoy wearing things that aren’t considered particularly pretty or conventional and convincing people otherwise.
Told you you’d see another one! This was what I wore the other day before heading out for some drinks in town. I do love this skirt. Monochrome colour palettes are doing a lot for me at the moment, and Gingham print is currently all the rage. I must say, I do think it’s quite flattering on the curves too…
Just a quick post today. Hope you have a great weekend. We’ll see ya on the flipside!
I’ve never been one for buying the same thing in multiple colours but I’ll admit to owning these sweatshirts in all three of the colours above. I just love the way they cling to your body in all the right places and hang on all the others. They are totally perfect for tucking them into a cute pencil skirt. I do prefer leaving them loose however, and creating ethereal silhouettes as I’m moving to and fro. I’ve added to some additional items here to show you how I would pair them. You would have already seen the monochrome pairing here, but with a different skirt. You may see another pairing soon…! Well done Topshop, you’ve outdone yourself. These tops get not one, but two ticks from me.
When the idea of trainers with heels first popped up last year, I was totally against it. Everything about it just sounded wrong. I’m eating my words now though because I’m seriously lusting over these bad boys. Ideally I’d get them in white: they’d be perfect as a transitional S/S piece. Problem though? But I just can’t seem to find them anywhere. These black ones are okay so I may settle for these. If anyone knows where they have the white ones in stock though, you know what to do…! :)

One minute we were bringing you our Christmas gift guide and next, bam, I was signing for these. There was just something too special about that hot pink tick; I couldn’t resist…! I’ll shoot some pics for you soon. I’m looking forward to wearing these bad boys!
