They’ve arrived, yay! Ooh I didn’t think I’d adore this shoe and clutch combination so much but together they are pure harmony. It looks as though my outfit for the wedding this weekend is complete. I must say that after a whole 3 months of worrying about what I’d wear ‘relieved’ doesn’t even begin to describe how I feel. I bought jewellery the other day too soI’ll share that with you soonish. For now though, Happy Tuesday!
ArkAir Clutch – Aldo; Aernaria – Aldo
How cute was El’s sale post last Friday? I particularly liked the Zara top – I think it would look uber pretty on. One item that I wished would go in the sale is this clutch bag by Aldo. Talk about making a statement – the concoction of pearls and silver beads makes this piece nothing short of heavenly. Sale or no sale, I’m looking forward to this arriving. I might even wear it with this…
ARKAIR – Aldo
We have blogged a lot about things we want or need, but the most treasured items I already have. Here I want to share with you my most precious pieces of jewellery. Given to me by different people, at different times of my life, I hope to never part with these!
Everyone who knows me can tell you that I am obsessed with earrings. My vast collection consists of anything from elegant studs to feathers, spikes and crystals. I always need to make sure I have a range of metals and colours to choose from to suit my mood and the look I am going for, so you can imagine how excited I am about this Ear Cuff trend. A few weeks ago Australian model Lara Bingel, above, wore a stunning piece by Sarina Sariano. Both tough and pretty it totally rocked!
As someone who shied away from having more than one piercing per ear, ear cuffs and ear shields are a superb way to achieve this look. I have bought all of the above ear cuffs from Topshop, cant wait for the party season to start so I can show them off!
Now, we know that geometric jewellery has been going strong this year. Triangles and cubes add easy, modern touches to any look. Stars on the other hand have gained more of a high street presence and are becoming a micro trend. You could either try something subtle such as Perlota bracelet from Luisaviaroma or, if you feel like going full on bling, go to Kurt Geiger who has matching sets of star earrings, necklaces and rings! The star shape takes me back to my sweet childhood, and a very simple sterling silver ring I used to have as a little girl. Except for this time my stars are encrusted in diamonds. What a great way to take something into your adult life that reminds you of your fun, young days.
It was only recently that UK jewellery designer Alice Menter launched her label. Since, her beautiful, handmade, unique designs have deservingly been featured in powerhouse fashion magazines such as Marie Claire, Harpers Bazar and InStyle.

Through incorporating the use of household items such as bolts and zips, Alice Menter’s designs perfect a harmonious balance between ‘hard and soft.’ This really is statement jewellery with a twist. Above are some of her beautiful designs that we saw at LFW; you can check out her whole range here. I can’t wait to get my hand on a few pieces!
Tickle Me Pink
A couple of years ago everyone, including myself, was sporting a pair of feather earrings. As of late I haven’t seen too many people wearing them, but once again they are all over the shops. What I like about feather earrings is that they are quite quirky yet casual, so they can be worn to spruce up most daywear outfits. They also look uber cute on the beach. Next time you hit the high street, pick up a pair to help compliment your summer wardrobe. They are everywhere!
