Lately I’ve been feeling uninspired by what I am seeing on the high street. I went shopping last Monday and nothing, literally nothing, jumped out at me. Annoyingly! I’ve bought bodysuit number one though, the one with the thin straps which looks a little saucy on (iPhone snap below). I’m looking forward to dressing this up with either a skirt and heels or some denim for a casual look :)
Lately I’ve been searching high and low for a slip dress. A lot of people shy away from wearing them, but I really want one. I remember my older sister had a nude one about 10 years ago; it was beautiful. Ideally I’m looking for one in an aubergine colour. Specific I know but, hey ho, it would look hot! I found this dress at Miss Selfridge which I’m so going to pick up. It’s a little slip-like, but not enough to quench my thirst. Till I find one though I’m happy with this.
By now, you must have noticed that me and Elena have very distinct yet different looks. If I had to choose one word to describe my besties look, it would have to be sophisticated. From dazzling jewels to fabulous furs, trust me when I say Elena’s wardrobe is simply to.die.for!
After all this time, I’m starting to fall for all things furry. It’s probably all this time I’ve spent with El :). I’m planning on purchasing a fur coat but I still haven’t laid my eyes on ‘the’ one. I’m not going to get into the politics of whether to go faux or real, that’s a personal thing. This Miss Selfridge dream is a serious contender though. It even feels amazing!

Albeit a tad late in the year, I recently decided it was time to tackle my wardrobe and get rid of everything I don’t wear anymore. A perk to doing so was rediscovering cute pieces hidden in the depths of that huge ol’ wooden box. Likewise trying out new combinations, such as this knitted top I once bought from Topshop. Believe it or not, this top is quite old but I have never worn it before. I absolutely adore the detail of the knot though. Isn’t it gorgeous?
A good look for fall? I’ll try it out for you soon. xx
We thought it would be fun to put a spin on an old classic and take some team photos. Denim shirt and jeans, different shapes and sizes, heels and trainers. Here’s how we each took the basics and emulated different looks.
Little trying to be large!
My jeans here have a funny little story. I bought them when I was twelve years old. They were low rise flares: so hot back in 1999! Ten years later I had them tailored to have a straight leg fit. Now, six years later, I am itching to have them made into skinnies!
Any one that has had the pleasure (and stress) of rummaging through my wardrobe will vouch for my fondness of colours. In my eyes, all things bright are beautiful.
A little under two weeks ago my amazing colleagues treated me to a birthday shopping trip in central London. After spending hours – which felt like minutes – getting lost in Topshop I decided on this mini number by London brand, TFNC.
Now I know the colours are a little on the bright side but I absolutely adore this piece! The focus on block colours meant that it was easier and best to keep my accessories to a minimum. A perfect time to wear those ASOS ‘Hollywood’ heels I bought a couple months ago. Likewise the feathered simplicity of my clutch bag and my timeless, gold Michael Kors piece helped add both texture and jazz.
Now all we need is the sunshine to last…!
Gosh, I’m so thankful it’s the weekend. It’s been a long week this one. With how busy my life is, it feels as though my days turn in to weeks in the blink of an eye. Work; uni; blogging: everything is a constant rush from one place to another. But, if I’m honest, I do love the hustle and bustle. One thing is for sure, it means that when it’s time to play (in other words, the weekend), I can let my hair down that little bit more…
For me, dressing up is always the best part about going out. Whilst planning my outfit questions I always ask myself include: What look do I want to achieve? How will I make it unique to me? Will I feel comfortable? Will I feel confident? For me, these are the four most important things. Image, individuality, comfort and confidence. Below is a little outfit idea I’ve just put together. All these pieces are in my wardrobe and I’m looking forward to trying out this look sometime soon. Two words that describe it best: modern classic. Together these pieces look timeless.
Have a great weekend team x

This weekend is set to be a hectic one. Right now I’m at work but later, I’m going to make a quick dash to the airport. I’m spending the weekend in Germany (Mannheim and Heidelberg to be exact) with some friends. Tomorrow, I’m going to a music concert after which, we’ll probably party a little. Great company, great music; I must admit, I’m excited…!
I know it’s going to be quite cold in Germany, but I’m not a huge fan of wearing too much. Almost always, heavy clothing makes me feel claustrophobic and quite nauseous. So the plan is to layer up. Here’s a few things that I’ve packed. Hopefully it won’t be too cold. Wish me luck!
Two new additions to my shoe collection-absolute must have pumps for this season. Leopard print with velvet toe, I can’t live without, from Oasis (£35) and a Dynamo slipper from Miss Selfridge (£30), all over studs and small black heat. These two are super versatile, whether its to complement a day outfit, or for an easy relaxed night time look. I am sure pay-per-wear will be totally justified with these pairs!
