Is it a cape or is it a blanket?

I bought my first cape last winter from Oasis, its black and its soft. and I have worn it to death since then! This winter its all about printed capes, following Burberry’s lead when they debuted a ‘blanked’ coat. Is it a cape or is it a blanked? Could be both and I am a massive fan! I love the idea of throwing it on and not having to worry about the fit or feeling like a stuffed sausage with all the other layers.

Just wrap yourself in softest wool and face the cold autumn day. Here are a few that caught my eye on British high street.

Outfit – Easy Does It

IMG_0683Trying to dress for this unpredictable weather is tricky business. So, this year for LFW, I decided to keep it pretty simple. Polo neck and jeans, spruced up with a pair of classic suede heels. Ooh I haven’t shown you these beauties yet. Here, have a close up:

A dose of sexy toe cleavage for ya! Ha. On a serious note, these heels are extremely comfy; I could easily spend a whole day in them. Result!

London Fashion Weekend 2014

20140228-114619.jpg20140301-130254.jpg20140301-130400.jpgHere are a few snaps from our last Saturday morning at London Fashion Weekend 2014.

As always it was intense few hours packed with catwalk show, lectures and shopping! This year me and my partner in crime, Adi, had pleasure of attending this event as press!

Please excuse the awkward angle of catwalk shots! We had corner seats and tried our best to get good photos, trust me. 20140301-130105.jpg20140301-130118.jpg20140301-130131.jpg20140301-130152.jpg20140301-130202.jpg20140301-130215.jpg20140301-130231.jpg20140301-130238.jpg20140301-130336.jpg

Mirror Mirror: London Fashion Weekend

As girls behind The Coup, we’ve decided to share what we wore to London Fashion Weekend with you. Here goes!

With so many ‘hot’ trends around this fall, we thought that it was best to hit Westfield Shopping Centre and let the shops inspire our look for London Fashion Weekend. Zara, Pull and Bear, Mango; there were so many shops to choose from, but in the end I had to go for this ‘Casual Luxe’ combo that I put together in Topshop.

I dolled up my comfy, casual knit with this heavily embellished sequinned skirt.  As there was quite a bit going on with the sequins, it was only right that I neutralised my look with a pair of nude coloured stiletto heels. My jewellery was a concoction of Swarovski crystals, Gucci, Links of London and beautiful beads, straight from India. Chic, comfy yet luxurious; how could I resist?

Items: Knitted Rib Clean Jumper, £38; Silver Sequin Mini Skirt, £45; Romelia, £70; Gerke, £40; Swarovski Tennis Bracelet, £98; Gucci Bracelet with Boule Chain, £125; Gucci Necklace with Boule Chain and Toggle Closure, £170 Swarovski Ring – old.

As one who loves black, it’s no surprise that it was the first colour I reached for when choosing my outfit. So, for an afternoon at Somerset House I centered my look around my Oasis faux leather mini skirt. I paired it with a black satin vest, long waterfall coat from River Island and accessorized with gorgeous leopard pumps and a matching mini messenger bag. As for jewellery, I kept it minimal with a gold bangle and one gold ring. With red lips and nails to match –  it was classic shade for a classic style! It was simple look but the difference in textures is what made it work for me.
