Oh how I love animal print. I always find a way to work it into my look. Last weekend I was sporting this fabulous leopard print poncho from Oasis. It was a little too chilly to wear it alone so I threw Zara faux fur shawl over it. Cosy and warm!
I love a great animal print and these leopard trousers from ZARA are exactly what I craved for this summer. I really like the fact that the pattern is a touch darker on the back – working wonders on my behind! But it seems that all trousers cut differently making the gradients appear different on each pair. I have decided to offset the straight trouser cut with black peplum top from ASOS, Bershka heels (old) and a gold ring from NEXT.
Another animal print addition to my shoe collection. I could not resist taking a pic of these printed leather sandals from Zara as soon as they came out of the box! These sandals are a perfect summer staple! I will be wearing them with my mini messenger bag in leopard print, also from Zara, here. Don’t you think they will look great together?
Finally! A year after purchasing this lovely vintage coat from Ducie, I have found time and perfect cold weather to shoot it. This is my ultimate comfort coat for chilly months. Beautiful vintage rabbit fur is incredibly soft and silk lining adds a glamorous touch.
If you are as tired as me of going from one vintage store to another, in a search of a perfect vintage fur coat, then head right here where you can purchase it with a few simple clicks.
I’m taking these denim shorts out for one more outing before September comes! Its so good to get your pins out in the sun, if only this mini tan would last a little longer!
I like wearing formal shirts when baring legs, that way I feel less beach babe and more city chic.
I am wearing (all old items): Oasis white shirt; Calzedonia denim shorts; Zara mini messenger leopard bag; Zara leopard kitten heels; H&M gold feather earrings and a gold cuff.
Apologies; we haven’t updated our blog in a while. Between travelling and battles with flu, life has been nothing short of crazy for us both. But fear not, we are back with a vengeance, with something hot for you to get your claws into…
Leopard print has made a huge come back this Autumn and since early September we’ve been seeing the big cat print everywhere. But the Leopard print is one that can go terribly wrong if you’re not careful. Our advice to you is that you incorporate small, statement pieces here and there; toning them with denim, leather and other simple materials. Here’s a little leopard inspiration for the big cat in you.
Animal Print Crew Top – Oasis; Leopard High-Heel Sandals with Studded Ankle – Zara; Leopard and Skull-Print Cashmere & Silk-Blend Scarf – Alexander McQueen; Leopard Print Gloves – Maison Scotch; Leopard Print Hair Calf Belt – Lauren; Animal Print Clutch – Guess by Marciano;
I have been looking for a ‘WOW’ coat for quite some time now. This Autumn I don’t want to blend in with the sea of black and navy, so going through tons of stores, boutiques and online in search of a piece that either had a vibrant colour or a strong graphic print, has been a long process. Today I am very happy to finally announce that here is it- the ‘OH MY ‘ coat of the season. The winner is Christopher Kane Leopard-print coat, £1.380 (available from Matches Fashion). This coat ticks all of the boxes. With an uber modern take on animal print, it truly represents designer’s bold aesthetic vision. The ‘no button’ design works very well when you just want something to trow over a sweater. Now, the only thing I need to worry about is how to start saving…
As girls behind The Coup, we’ve decided to share what we wore to London Fashion Weekend with you. Here goes!
With so many ‘hot’ trends around this fall, we thought that it was best to hit Westfield Shopping Centre and let the shops inspire our look for London Fashion Weekend. Zara, Pull and Bear, Mango; there were so many shops to choose from, but in the end I had to go for this ‘Casual Luxe’ combo that I put together in Topshop.
I dolled up my comfy, casual knit with this heavily embellished sequinned skirt. As there was quite a bit going on with the sequins, it was only right that I neutralised my look with a pair of nude coloured stiletto heels. My jewellery was a concoction of Swarovski crystals, Gucci, Links of London and beautiful beads, straight from India. Chic, comfy yet luxurious; how could I resist?
Items: Knitted Rib Clean Jumper, £38; Silver Sequin Mini Skirt, £45; Romelia, £70; Gerke, £40; Swarovski Tennis Bracelet, £98; Gucci Bracelet with Boule Chain, £125; Gucci Necklace with Boule Chain and Toggle Closure, £170 Swarovski Ring – old.
As one who loves black, it’s no surprise that it was the first colour I reached for when choosing my outfit. So, for an afternoon at Somerset House I centered my look around my Oasis faux leather mini skirt. I paired it with a black satin vest, long waterfall coat from River Island and accessorized with gorgeous leopard pumps and a matching mini messenger bag. As for jewellery, I kept it minimal with a gold bangle and one gold ring. With red lips and nails to match – it was classic shade for a classic style! It was simple look but the difference in textures is what made it work for me.
Items: Oasis faux leather ‘Harper’ flippy skirt, £40; Oasis vest, £20; Zara animal print medium heels, £49.99; Zara mini fake fur messanger bag, £29.99; H&M bangle, similar one here, £4.99; Gold ring- vintage.
This mini Zara beauty has been added to my wardrobe on Saturday, and on top of that it was a gift, which makes it so special! I adore the fake fur of the leopard print insert, it seems to be the same print as a lot of other animal accessories on the high street (they must be shopping at the same factories?) which means pairings would be matchy-matchy and easy for me! This bag has a sweet boxy messenger shape and its just small enough for your phone, keys and lipstick. I will pair it with my new Zara leopard kitten heels (will show you later on this week!).
Two new additions to my shoe collection-absolute must have pumps for this season. Leopard print with velvet toe, I can’t live without, from Oasis (£35) and a Dynamo slipper from Miss Selfridge (£30), all over studs and small black heat. These two are super versatile, whether its to complement a day outfit, or for an easy relaxed night time look. I am sure pay-per-wear will be totally justified with these pairs!
