Love the detail on this top. I’d probably pair it with colbolt bottoms, a slick, super long ponytail and bold, winged eye-liner for a subtle yet graphic look. Perhaps I’ll pick this up for my upcoming b’day celebrations… :-)
Lately I’ve been feeling uninspired by what I am seeing on the high street. I went shopping last Monday and nothing, literally nothing, jumped out at me. Annoyingly! I’ve bought bodysuit number one though, the one with the thin straps which looks a little saucy on (iPhone snap below). I’m looking forward to dressing this up with either a skirt and heels or some denim for a casual look :)
This time last year I have debuted my lovely Valentino dress here. I remember this day clearly, prancing around in Spring sun. A year later I am still in love with it as much as when I first tried it on. It’s a shame I do not have enough fancy occasions to wear it to!
I have however made the most of these blue sandals from Dune. I saw that they extended Hydro line with iridescent pink and gold versions… Very tempting!
So November came and went in the blink of an eye, literally. I don’t really know where the month went but it was a good one at that. I’ve booked a trip to Berlin over New Years, exciting! Berlin has always been a favourite city of mine so spending NYE there will be pretty epic although I’m going to have to practice wearing practical, warm clothing more similarly to what I’m wearing today. Typically I would have paired this cute jumper dress with some chunky boots but its.just.too.cold! December’s has always been a month when comfort comes first so the heels may be on hold for a while.
Hope you have a great weekend beauts!
A fitted top, structured skirt and minimalistic heels – sometimes you’ve just got to keep it classic and clean. The drop in the temperature has encouraged me to play with texture instead of colour. So today, I’m keeping it simple with a little black number. Couldn’t resist a hint of colour though, hence the nails. Bisous beauts, have a great day!
This year I have been spoiled rotten by friends and family. Not only did I receive lots of birthday love and quality time, but I got tons of really thoughtful gifts. This gorgeous Michael Kors Selma bag being one of them. I absolutely adore it! My new everyday companion.
Morning, and Happy Monday to you!
I hope you’ve all had a great weekend. It started a little early for me and El with us taking a trip up to Bath Spa on Friday. Good food, great company and a fun, girlie day out; as you can imagine it was total bliss! Since the weekend has been really chilled but I did get a little overexcited when a fairly large parcel from one of my new favourite stores, & Other Stories, arrived. It’s cute right? You can’t see much of the detail but it has side panels embossed with a reptile-like print. And a little hit of chain detail too – yum! I must say, I think this will make a very good replacement for my Longchamp Le Pliage Tote.
Finally, here is the outfit that I have promised to show you last week. I wore this look to my mother’s 60th birthday celebration. It was a very special night, so there was a demand for a very special dress. I chose to wear Valentino ribbed lace skirt dress.
A bit of a risqué choice, you would say – a skirt with no lining, but thank god for cleverly positioned panels!
I love it’s bouncy a-line skirt with scalloped hem. The lace itself is absolutely exquisite! I will definitely be wearing this dress for many years from now.
As I have mentioned dress code for the night was ‘cobalt blue’, so I chose complementing accessories. My lovely blue heels are from Dune. They are so comfy, I danced all night! Skinnydip London clutch surely got a lot of attention from everyone that evening.
Now I need another event I can wear this dress to again! P.S. I can never resist doing signature ‘Coup’ jump :)
Good morning Monday. Good morning you!
You probably noticed that I fell short on posting any outfits last week. Juggling copious amounts of work sucked all the creativity out of me. But after spending the weekend with friends, celebrating a good time, I feel like I’m back on form. Woop! Soooo, with that in mind, I thought I’d give you something a little extra special today… *wink wink*
I can’t actually remember the last time I felt compelled to buy a piece without an event in mind. Until I saw this breathtaking piece by Sweden’s new powerhouse designers, Ivy Revel.
When the dons at the Ivy Revel first launched their collection back in summer 2013, this was the dress that stood out to me. Black + backless = hot! The added lace high neck also adds a dynamic twist to this sexy little number.
The first batch sold out instantly so I couldn’t risk not getting my hands on one when an additional few were launched. I ordered it about 2 weeks ago, and was pleasantly surprised by the no-fuss, super fast delivery.
It’s gorgeous. It also does all the talking for you so you can keep additional accessories to a minimum. As to where I will be wearing this saucy little number I haven’t got anywhere particularly in mind. Almost certainly though, I’ll be saving it for that extra special date night!
You have yourself a nice day now.
Morning birds and bees!
I realised that I didn’t show you my new court shoes. You saw them in Fridays outfit post but there’s no close up shots. I bought these about 2 weeks ago and decided to go for something with a little twist, hence the sling backs. As of late I’m getting really good at strutting my stuff in heels. Okay, I don’t exactly strut but you know what I mean. Whoever said practise makes perfect just may have had a point…
Gecko Black Leather Courts – Topshop
This Warehouse cape is a new addition to my wardrobe. It’s insanely soft, a genius invention when you need something to thrown on and run out of the door. Plus I am totally crazy for a fun tent silhouette it creates. Should have given you guys a spin! Maybe next time…!
I wore the cape with my most favourite Zara heels, Gap skinny jeans and Accessorise bag.
The sunglasses are from Jeepers Peepers, a boutique that sells affordable pieces with a fun vintage influence.
Ooh how badass are these?! I really like (want!) them. The lucid heel adds a perfect touch of edgyness, and breaks down the heaviness of the black. Yum!
I’m totally loving the return of the polo neck! Growing up I wasn’t too much a fan. My sister loved them – I didn’t really get her fascination. I always felt a little claustrophobic wearing one. This winter though, I have a feeling that they’re going to become a little staple of mine.
Also… me wearing all black? Hello, this is a huge rarity! You’ve probably worked out that I’m a fan of all things bright and beautiful (see evidence here, here and here). So far this winter, however, I can’t seem to get enough of wearing black and grey, and working with tones instead of colour. Take this leather skirt for instance, and the way it contrasts with my light knit…I know, it’s lush right? :-) I’m turning to pop socks too, instead of tights. It’s like I’m sixteen all over again. xx
Recently I decided that I need to start being a little more adventurous with my footwear. You may remember from my previous post on Aquazzura a little while back: I can’t walk in heels. Okay… Can’t walk may be a little bit of an exageration, but honestly I’m no pro – that’s for sure! One of my New Year resolutions is to improve my strutt and this I am determined to do. What was it they say about practice making perfect again?!
So, with that in mind I ordered these beautiful, minimalistic ‘Hollywood’ heels from ASOS a couple of days ago. As high as they are they’re slightly tricky to walk in but I’m just too in love to send them back. Aren’t they just divine? I can’t wait to rock these! I better get practicing….
