And just like that summer ended…! Well if you live in London then you’ll know that summer ended about a month ago. Me and El have been saying that this is the earliest we’ve ever had to unpack our winter wardrobes. Oh well, I guess we can’t have it all! I’m back at work from Monday so I’m planning to invest in some key pieces that’ll see me into the autumn what with September knocking on our doors and all. It’s going to be a cold one this year and we’re both preparing our wardrobes for it as of now. This autumn/winter I’m all about clean cuts, dark tones and, strong silhouette, like this outfit I’ve thrown together for you above.I’ve always considered navy and grey to be a bit of a winning combination. Polo necks are a staple for me every winter and last year I lived in them. You might remember this outfit here. With that said Autumn
I think I’m ready for you!

Although I do love a pop of colour my make-up choices often tend to be a lot less bold. I prefer working with shades and tonal colours on my skin, in oppose to heavy lips and eyes. Vampy coloured lips have been my favourite trend so far this year and I always feel a little envious when I see someone bold enough to rock them. So when I tried the above colour on for a little bit of fun in my local MAC store the other day I was pleasantly surprised to see how good it looked on. It’s a beautifully intense purple / black colour, and it doesn’t fade. Not one bit! Telling myself that it’s always good to shake it up a little, I just had to pick one up.

Me and El went shopping this weekend. As usual, we had a lovely time. I also found a gorgeous pair of oversized boots in H&M. I’m in love! Here’s a little sneak peak of what they look like. I know I know, I shouldn’t tease you. I promise I’ll pair them with an outfit and shoot some photos for you later though.
Don’t you just love it when an exciting piece of news lands in your inbox?
H&M have just announced a new Autumn collaboration with French designer Isabel Marant. For H&M, Isabel Marant will create a selection of must-have pieces inspired by her signature Parisian chic style. Mixing boho elements with a dash of rock-n-roll, she will also, for the first time, be creating a collection for men.
Available from November 14, 2013, in around 250 stores worldwide and online,
(I can’t believe I am saying this but)
– we couldn’t be more excited about fall!
Most girls I know are pretty scared of sporting oversized items and I don’t exactly find this shocking. So I’m pretty sure that like me you’re feeling a little thankfully for the rise of the oversize this fall.

If I had to chose three words that best illustrated what ‘oversized fashion’ is all about, I’d chose big, bold and bossy. To help maintain that trendy look this fall, I really do suggest that this is the one trend you don’t ignore! For one, it’s really comfortable, looks fierce and, bonus,it’ll keep you warm. We’re not just talking about clothes here to; ‘oversize’ is taking over scarfs, jewellry and bags too.
Choosing the right items to pair your oversize garments will help accentuate your look. A word of advice; always think opposite. Oversize trousers & fitted top. Oversized top & either a pencil skirt or tailored trousers (ankle trousers too!). You get the idea. Remember, what you want to do is compliment the other section. Now go on, try something new today.

This weeks ‘Special Delivery’ comes from Mango. I’m loving the studded cashmere jumper, leather belt and quilted leather jacket. We all know that studs are a huge look for fall fashion this year. Equally, you may remember our ‘berry crush’ post from August. Adding berry coloured items to your winter wardrobe will help keep your look bang on trend. Pretty helpful as berry is one of those colours that compliments pretty much everything!

As one of this seasons most prominent trends, opulent baroque designs are big, bold and back. Likewise, the big boys are doing them well. Dolce and Gabbana, one of Italy’s most luxarious fashion brands, first showcased their desire to lead the ‘baroque boom’ with their dazzlingly, vibrant runway designs earlier this year during Milans Fashion Week.

You too may have seen ‘This Weeks; Spot On’ post last Wednesday; Selena Gomez looked like a dream in another baroque design that was also brought to us by D&G. With high street taking to opulent baroque, there is no reason for you not to indulge in this seasons most prominent trend. Just remember your golds, blacks, heavily embroidered designs and you are good to go!

Did you hear? Yesterday marked the launch of JW Anderson for Topshop
. The actor turned fashion designer has now joined the ranks of powerhouse designers that have previously worked with the high-street dominant including Asish, Christopher Kane and, most recently, Richard Nicoll
. Staying true to his Scottish heritage, it’s all about tartan on tartan. But, aiming to please all, Anderson
has incorporated his eclentic fashion taste with quilted silks, chunky knits and geometric prints. So never fear tartan-phobics, there too is something for you.
The collection also brings Topshop its first ‘lifestyle’ capsule range which includes stationary, iPad cases and posters. With prices ranging from as little as 99p to £129, Andersons capsule collection truely does offer fashion devotees the chance to sport the lastest trends at very affordable prices. Excited much? We are. Above are our favourite pieces:

Imagine this; you’re sitting on a flight, homebound from an amazing trip to the US, slightly gloomy about the fact that you’re leaving your party-animal friends are out there. That’s not a nice situation to be in right? Right. Well that was me, last week, and boy oh boy did I not want to leave. I had just enjoyed one of the best holidays of my existence!
So, searching for a little pick-me-up, I purchased Vogue Magazines 120 year anniversary September issue in duty-free. Louis, Chanel, Dior, Lanvin; all such stunning and artistic adverts. But my heart stopped when I saw this:
And just like that, Burberry Prorsum got me all excited about the new range of fashion hitting stores right now. There is nothing that I love than shopping in Autumn; it is by far my favourite time to shop til I drop. All because you find key, distinctive pieces like these: Burberry Prorsum’s Country Animal Studded Clutch & Studded Leather Gloves, made with the finest of leather and dazzling gold studs. With even an uber cute gold duck getting involved here, what is not to love? And as both of these fine garments made me go a little more than ‘Ooh’ on that dreaded flight of mine, I’m featuring them together. Be sure to check out the rest of Burberry Prorsums A/W 2012 range here.
Oh how I love leather! Whenever I’m browsing shops, leather pieces are the first things that catch my eyes. However being a petite girl with a not very edgy look, a full leather jacket seems too harsh, so I always prefer to add small touches here and there. To my luck this season high street is filled with these full leather sleeve jackets. You can go for khaki, utility or a tweed plus leather all in one- Genius! I think they are ideal for someone who wants to try and introduce a bit of leather into their wardrobe.
At the top, Lipsy soft tweed contrast coat, £80.
Above from left, khaki army jacket from River Island, £55; H&M jacket, £29.99; Topshop contrast sleeve army jacket, £65; River Island fallaway biker jacket, £55.
Mid July might be a little early to start thinking about your winter wardrobe but I couldn’t resist sharing with you, dear followers, a preview of Primark’s Autumn Winter collection! Primark seems to be the only high street store to be defying the economic crisis with it’s soaring sales, but we all know why- affordable prices and chic designs. And this glimpse of their new collection proves that it’s only going to continue going up!
