They’ve arrived, yay! Ooh I didn’t think I’d adore this shoe and clutch combination so much but together they are pure harmony. It looks as though my outfit for the wedding this weekend is complete. I must say that after a whole 3 months of worrying about what I’d wear ‘relieved’ doesn’t even begin to describe how I feel. I bought jewellery the other day too soI’ll share that with you soonish. For now though, Happy Tuesday!

How cute was El’s sale post last Friday? I particularly liked the Zara top – I think it would look uber pretty on. One item that I wished would go in the sale is this clutch bag by Aldo. Talk about making a statement – the concoction of pearls and silver beads makes this piece nothing short of heavenly. Sale or no sale, I’m looking forward to this arriving. I might even wear it with this…
ARKAIR – Aldo
Hi all! Remember my search for perfect patent pumps back in March? Well I can finally say that the search has ended! More precisely ended as soon as I stepped into an Aldo store on Oxford street…
How sexy are these Livergnano pumps? They add an elegant touch to any look. I look forward to dressing them up and dressing them down… wearing all summer around!
May – my month! I have a feeling it’s going to be a good one this year… :)
Hope you guys have had a good week. Apologies for the radio silence, it’s been a hectic one for me. I handed in one of my final assessments for uni on Tuesday. Gosh, I can’t wait till I finish my course in September!
For now though, I’m just happy it’s Friday. The sun making more and more frequent appearances is reminding me that there is always light at the end of the tunnel. Hoping to compliment that light, I’m wearing a distinctively effeminate summer dress today. I hope you all enjoy your weekend. My fun will be starting at Janelle Monae’s London gig tonight. Is excited a word?
Neon Lace dress – River Island; Aviators – Ray Ban
Trying to dress for this unpredictable weather is tricky business. So, this year for LFW, I decided to keep it pretty simple. Polo neck and jeans, spruced up with a pair of classic suede heels. Ooh I haven’t shown you these beauties yet. Here, have a close up:
A dose of sexy toe cleavage for ya! Ha. On a serious note, these heels are extremely comfy; I could easily spend a whole day in them. Result!

It’s windy outside.
Like, really windy.
Which makes it really, really tricky to catch some decent photos. Annoying, although I should be glad it’s not raining instead…!
As you guys are fully aware, I’ve been sporting a lot of blacks and greys lately. Today though, I’m (thankfully) feeling like my old self again so I’ve popped into something a little colourful.
Why I feel like putting some colour on is beyond me though. I’m exhausted. I have deadlines hanging over my head. Till the end of the month I’m going to be juggling about 101 things. Assignments, my actual job and the blog (which is the one bit I don’t mind at all). I’ll need to rack up my hours of sleep though, otherwise I’ll be juggling a cold on top of all of that too.
With that said, I better get back to the books. Toodles for now!

This is what I wore yesterday. A casual tee, dressed up with a fitted midi and a pair of heels. And also my French Connection ‘Let It Be Rock’ studded leather coat. You might remember me lusting over it last year…!
I love the detail on the arms. I can’t lie; it’s quite heavy to wear. But it does the trick when I want to spruce up a simple outfit.
Representing for my team…
Team nerd all the way!
Have a beautiful day

Floral prints are one of those rare prints that transcends all four seasons. We often see winter florals appear in shades of burgandy, grey, purple and so forth during the A/W season. Likewise brighter, more vibrant floral designs pop up during and throughout the S/S season. This dress is a funny one though. I bought it at Christmas but don’t you think however that it’s better suited to the S/S season? I’m loving the way it looks in the sun!
And, bonus, it’s pretty easy to dress up and down too! For a more casual look I have previously worn this dress with a pair of classic brown brogues and cute ankles socks. Today however, I’m emulating a feminine and more youthful look by sporting nude heels and a casual denim crop jacket.
The dress’s lightweight material means that I’m going to have to be a tad conscious of the wind blowing. We don’t want a boo-boo now, do we?!
This is a favourite neck piece of mine – isn’t it stunning? It reminds me a little of a vintage stamp. The gold / brown themes makes it an unusual yet perfect piece for this dress.
Thank you for reading! I just wanted to remind you that you can join our Facebook page here, Twitter here, Instagram (search ‘Team Coup’) for updates on the go. We’d love to have you on board! xx

Any one that has had the pleasure (and stress) of rummaging through my wardrobe will vouch for my fondness of colours. In my eyes, all things bright are beautiful.
A little under two weeks ago my amazing colleagues treated me to a birthday shopping trip in central London. After spending hours – which felt like minutes – getting lost in Topshop I decided on this mini number by London brand, TFNC.
Now I know the colours are a little on the bright side but I absolutely adore this piece! The focus on block colours meant that it was easier and best to keep my accessories to a minimum. A perfect time to wear those ASOS ‘Hollywood’ heels I bought a couple months ago. Likewise the feathered simplicity of my clutch bag and my timeless, gold Michael Kors piece helped add both texture and jazz.
Now all we need is the sunshine to last…!
There’s nothing like letting your young, quirky, fun-loving self show through your dress sense. Motif jumpers and t-shirts have been around for a little while now. I have a couple motif tops in my wardrobe but non of these pieces below. What do you think? Me, I love them all. Which one’s your favourite?
‘Fun Fun’ Sweater – Zoe Karssen; White Zip Wrap Aline Skirt – Topshop; ‘Tara’ – Charlotte Olympia; ‘Geek’ Tee – Topshop; Super Slim Trousers – Mango; Kitty Flats – Charlotte Olympia; Genius Jumper – Topshop; Wax Coated Jeans – Pierre Balmain; Hodell – Aldo;
This is what an ideal everyday bag looks like! I have not parted with this beauty since I got it from Aldo a month ago. Lovely sturdy shape, perfect size and bold gold accents. It goes with everything I wear these days!
So, evidently, I decided not to go with the Black Plexi Ankle Boots from Maison Martin Margiela. As much as I loved them (and still do), I just couldn’t see how they would fit into my wardrobe. Nor did they look very practical, heel-wise. Remember this? But I am still looking for a pair of black ankle boots to see me through the winter. These have caught my eye and I love them all for separate reasons. Maybe I’ll just buy them all… I wish! Haha
