This is my favourite cardigan of the season. Not only that it has a very attractive black and white Aztec print, it’s quite thick. I like that because it helps to keep its boxy shape, making it look like something they call a ‘coatigan’
Third and the final look is how to wear these gorgeous paJama style Zara pants. They have the most stunning pattern, so I paired them with a simple silk shirt from OASIS, white Chloe clutch and strappy white Zara heels. I adore the silky feel of the fabric and the high waisted cut complements the wide flare of the pant itself, making it a very lux pair to wear.
I have to admit that I’ve had this Zara suit combo in my wardrobe since February before I braved wearing it last week. And I cannot believe I have left it this long! I love the fit and the feel of the fabric.
I’m taking these denim shorts out for one more outing before September comes! Its so good to get your pins out in the sun, if only this mini tan would last a little longer!
I like wearing formal shirts when baring legs, that way I feel less beach babe and more city chic.
I am wearing (all old items): Oasis white shirt; Calzedonia denim shorts; Zara mini messenger leopard bag; Zara leopard kitten heels; H&M gold feather earrings and a gold cuff.
The most terrifying trend of this years summer has to be The Crop Top! I am all up for revealing a bit of skin here and there, but it’s really hard to get it right without looking like you just came out of a yoga class.
For me, crop tops only work when paired with high-wasted items. Something about just revealing a thin slither of a waste line, I think is very sexy.
You can never go wrong with opting for monochrome on a night out. This fluffy H&M skirt, from their autumn collection advertised by Lana Del Ray, is so fun on it’s own, I had to keep everything else really simple and chic.
I am wearing:
H&M blazer (old); ASOS crop top; H&M fluffy white skirt (old); Zara heels (old)
If there was an award for one red carpet regular who can pull off any look, the award would have to go to Jennifer Lawrence. Honestly, in my opinion, this girl can do no wrong. Every look she tries to achieve she gets spot on.
Two weeks ago, at the Santa Barbara Film Festival, Jennifer wore this sterling jumpsuit by Stella McCartney. Fitted at the waist with tailored, boy-fit trousers, matched with sexy, black, stiletto heels: this outfit embodies masculine femininity perfectly. Likewise however, on Sunday, Lawrence turned a complete 360 degrees and indulged in her innocent, youthful side at the BAFTA’s. Wearing a pretty in pink Dior Haute Couture gown hollywoods new favourite looked nothing short of a dream. Breath-taking…
Another day-another stunning frock for Kerry Washington this week, who has been killing it on the red carpet premier of Django Unchained. She plays with colour, shape, and even different decades when it comes to choosing a look, keeping all of us on your toes and eye firmly fixed on her every appearance! Here is a selection of our favourites from this past week.
Don’t I just love a Hollywood star that takes risks. This week I am all over this look on Jaime King. She wore Jason Wu dress, straight from the runway for a private party on Monday. Asymmetrical florals with a peekaboo buttoned up shirt underneath, is an unusual choice, but the colour and fit looks perfect of Mrs King. Paired with stunning Chanel creepers, it’s a fun loving take on evening wear. And what’s even better is that this dress is from Jason Wu’s new collection called Miss Wu. Available at Nordstorm.com you can find all pieces under £650.

This week all eyes are on Diane Kruger, a vision in a deep blue lace play suit by Jason Wu. She paid homage to the 50s feel by wearing her hair in a vintage curl and adding a red lip. Those simple black Giuseppe Zanotti sandals are a good choice, keeping the focus in the lovely detailing of the play suit! And of course the leopard coat, perfect ensemble!
For ‘This Weeks; Spot On’ look, we are torn between two very simple, yet effective monochrome looks. Marion Cotillard and Kristen Stewart both wowed the red carpet at the screenings of their new movies during the AFI Fest in Hollywood. Firstly, I’d like to credit actress Kristen Stewart for her dedication to Balenciaga by Nicolas Ghesquière. She wore a stunning jumpsuit, paired with Louboutin heels and vampy, red lips; a masculine yet sultry look for the young actress. On the other hand though, Marion Cotillard was a vision of pure femininity. Wearing a Christian Dior halter neck dress with a draped skirt, centred split and pockets seemed like a slightly more playful choice for Marion, but the result worked well and showed off all her best assets. This week, we have to award our ‘Spot On’ title to the beautiful Emma Stone. From Elle to Vogue covers, Hollywood’s newest sweetheart seems to be everywhere at the moment; which comes unsurprising when she looks as stunning as she did, sitting in the front row of Miu Miu’s SS13 show at Paris Fashion Week. Pairing a couture prom dress with red lipstick, cherry coloured heels, soft curls and, of course, a Miu Miu printed handbag, Emma Stone raised the bar on ‘Parisian chic’. Simple yet effective, Stone looked more than superbad!

Lady of the week is amazing Olivia Wilde! She attended the global launch of new Calvin Klein fragrance Encounter, naturally wearing Calvin Klein head to toe. Olivia looked like a creature of the night in this delicate cape like dress. The pattern of this dress is simple yet striking in its own right, from Resort 2013 Calvin Klein collection, emerald green is very big for this Autumn but I think the cut of the dress and the material, the strappy metallic heel – all were celebrating the last of the last days of summer sun. Olivia looked simply stunning from head to toe!
Emmys 2012 took place earlier this week and there was so much colour on the red carpet this year. Gunmetal definitely stole the show and became an emerging hot trend amongst all of the arrivals. These three ladies have hit all the right notes with their sparkly gowns. Kerry Washington in a gown by Vivienne Westwood has embraced hollywood glamour, Lucy Liu took a futuristic approach in an Atelier Versace dress and Jane Krakowski looked very bejewelled in Kaufmanfranco.
Jessica Alba has really brightened up Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week. Among all front row attendees wearing autumn palettes, Jessica Alba stood out in a girlie bold yellow plait skirt by Ralph Lauren. She has paired this prom piece with t-bar patent heels and ballet scoop neck top. On the way out she popped on a studded biker jacket to add a bit of urban edge to this sweet doll look. We love!
