Packing for the North Pole

Ok, I might have exaggerated a little with the ‘North Pole’ but I will spend next 7 days exactly here (oooh yeah – cold!). So I had to approach packing for this holiday with some sensibility. Whole three days were spent visiting all of the stores I would normally never step a foot in – Blacks, Fat Face, Patagonia… it ended up being Snow and Rock and SportsDirect that I got all of the gear from. During those three days I have learnt professional lingo associated with outdoor sports such as HyVent, Gorex, Heatseeker and Venturi Stretch. I can look at the breath-ability and waterproof ratings and tell you exactly what’s going on. But most importantly I have learnt the art of shopping for something flattering and feminine yet sensible. (As well as learning that pink is a colour directly in between boring and crazy!) So here I am with my uber light North Face jacket, that is so warm I am seriously considering wearing in once I get back to the UK; gorgeous snow white podded ski pants, some lush thermal underwear and finally Topshop’s knitted hat with furry ears- well, I couldn’t be too sensible!
